The Touch of a Grand Piano: Grand Feel Compact Wooden-Key Keyboard Action.
The CA501 is the latest Kawai digital piano to feature the superb Grand Feel Compact wooden-key keyboard action. As the name suggests, the GF Compact action has been designed to replicate the authentic weight and touch characteristics of the market-leading Grand Feel keyboard actions in a smaller form factor.
This action retains the long wooden keys used for the 88 black and white keys, as well as the familiar "pivot" mechanism used by acoustic grand piano actions for centuries. However, despite its reduced size, the GF Compact features a longer key pivot length, which allows for a more consistent key weighting when playing towards the back of the keyboard. This crucial detail, along with other acoustic piano-like characteristics, enables the CA501 to provide the most realistic playing experience in its class.
New SK-EX competition grand piano sounds.
The brand-new SK-EX Competition grand piano captures the sound of the latest instruments from the SK-EX-L series, which have achieved great success in prestigious international piano competitions such as Chopin, Hamamatsu, and Sendai in recent years.
This piano sound has a bright and clear tonal character, with a distinctive and powerful attack, specifically recorded from the pianist's perspective for the ultimate performance experience.
High-end audio technologies
Developed by Kawai R&D's experienced audio engineering team, the CA501 features a redesigned motherboard and speaker system that incorporates unique 360° diffuser panels. These components combine to deliver the best audio quality in its class, producing an extremely rich and clear sound with minimal distortion.
Variety in a digital piano: Convenience and Flexibility
In addition to the class-leading Grand Feel Compact wooden key keyboard action and Progressive Harmonic Imaging piano sounds, the CA501 also offers a variety of practical digital functions that further enhance the joy of making music.
Wireless Bluetooth® connectivity, USB audio recording/playback, Dual, Split, and Four Hands keyboard modes, along with a rich assortment of instrumental voices, add greater variety to players' performances, while the handy metronome function and built-in lessons ensure that regular practice is both productive and engaging for aspiring pianists.
Integrated Bluetooth® MIDI and Audio wireless connectivity
In addition to a standard USB-MIDI port for computer connectivity, the ca501 also features integrated MIDI and audio Bluetooth® technologies, allowing the instrument to wirelessly communicate with supported smart devices.
Once the instrument is paired with a phone, tablet, or laptop, CA501 owners can enjoy a wide range of exciting music applications that enhance their learning and playing experience or directly stream the sound of songs and videos through the impressive speaker system of the instrument, without the need for additional cables.
Flexible USB connectivity
In addition to wireless functionality, the CA501 is also equipped with USB ports that allow the instrument to be directly connected to a computer for MIDI use or for loading and saving data to USB memory devices.
This USB to Device feature allows you to securely store instrument settings, recordings, and memorable pieces from the internal memory on USB drives, or play downloaded standard MIDI files (SMF) from the internet and utilize the instrument's superb Progressive Harmonic Imaging sounds without the need for additional hardware or cables.
