The Great Wave of Kanagawa
From the Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji by Hokusai, The Great Wave of Kanagawa (Kanagawa-okiNami Ura) is without doubt the most famous work in the history of Japanese art. Known the world over as the The Great WaveIt has inspired artists such as Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh,
Camille Claudel, Gustav Klimt, as well as composers and writers
such as Gia-como Puccini, for his opera Madama Butterfly, or Claude

Secession
Vienna, 1897. Twenty leading Austrian artists leave the highly academic Künstlerhaus to found a new artistic movement they called Secession. Convinced that "a new wind must blow and sweep away the retrograde spirit of the Künstlerhaus "These artists adopt the motto Ver Sacrum (sacred spring). Led by Gustav Klimt, this movement, also known as Viennese Art Nouveau, includes great artists such as Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffman and Joseph Maria Olbrich.
The tree of life
Klimt's Tree of Life is a landmark work from his "golden period" and is still considered the high point of his artistic development.
Camellia
Camellia comes to us from the Far East. Its magnificent, bewitchingly fragrant flowers and lustrous foliage have enchanted us for millennia.

At a concert in Vienna in 1970, Oscar Peterson caught his first glimpse of the legendary Bösendorfer Imperial piano. He turned to Norman Granz, his impresario, and exclaimed:
"Damn it, Norman, where did this wonder come from? I need the same one!"
It was the beginning of a long relationship between the artist and Bösendorfer.
Cocteau
Jean Cocteau (1889-1963) was a French writer, illustrator, playwright, painter and filmmaker. A contemporary of Picasso, he collaborated throughout his life with many famous artists and composers, including Igor Stravinsky and Erik Satie.
