Nataliya Labiau
Nataliya Labiau holds a Doctor of Music (Post-Graduate Diploma) in performance and music pedagogy from the Kazan State Conservatory (Higher School), Russia, and a Master's degree in performance from Université Laval's Faculty of Music, where she was named to the Faculty's Honour Roll for 2010. In 2005, she was awarded the Prix d'Honneur from the Serge Rachmaninoff Russian Conservatory in Paris. Since arriving in Quebec, she has been the recipient of the Bourse Hydro-Québec (2009), the Bourse d'excellence Marc-André Hamelin (2009) and the Bourse de la Fondation Desjardins (2010-2011). She has also performed in a number of concerts across Quebec. Classical music lovers regularly hear her as a soloist, chamber music artist or accompanist. In recent years, she has collaborated with musicians from Les Violons du Roy and the Molinari Quartet, as well as with Russian, Quebecois and American singers. In 2015, she published a CD devoted to works by Franz Schubert and Felix Mendelssohn, which was selected by Radio Classique (Montréal and Québec) to be part of its catalogue and to be broadcast on air. In addition to her experience as a concert pianist, she has devoted several years to teaching piano (1994-2018). Between 1998 and 2005, she was a teacher and accompanist in the piano department of the Kazan State Conservatory's Specialised College of Music (Higher School, Russia). Some of her students have won prizes at the Kiev International Competition, including one who received a scholarship from the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation in Moscow. In 2015, one of her students won a prize at the Concours de la Capitale (Quebec City), and in 2018, another of her students won prizes at the Trois-Rivières "Open Scene" Competition and the Sherbrooke Competition. In 2019, her student Olivianne Lussier won the Conservatoire de Trois-Rivières' "Scène ouverte" competition. A concert pianist, winner of national and international competitions, and a teacher with 26 years' experience, some of her students are winners of international competitions, she gives classical piano lessons. She teaches students at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. She is an associate professor at the Conservatoire de musique de Trois-Rivières. Dania Banna
Dania's interest in music began at a very young age. She started playing the accordion at the age of 4, followed by the xylophone and music theory, and finally took up the piano at the age of 6. Alongside her musical studies at McGill Schulich and Université de Laval, Dania completed degrees in Economics and Management. During her musical apprenticeship, Dania gave several concerts a year as a soloist and accompanist. Her passion for sharing her diverse musical knowledge through teaching began at the age of 14, and she hasn't stopped since. She believes that music is a requirement that helps us to develop and grow in a positive way. She is proud to be able to help many young people and adults with their personal growth.
